OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

DOESN’T TURN ON

When an electric stove won’t turn on, first check if the appliance is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the appliance is plugged in or if the pilot light is burning in the oven, it means another part of the oven will have to be repaired. The reason for the issue could be an infinite switch, surface element, igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN DOES NOT HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that doesn’t heat will not do much good. Your oven will not heat if there’s a broken bake element or oven sensor. Your burner will not fire up if an element is broken or the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We know how to troubleshoot and fix these problems in under 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM ISSUES

It’s reasonable to assume the control board on a stove is broken when the timer or program functions aren’t working. In this case, we are able to repair control boards for Sears, GE, LG, Kenmore, KitchenAid and most other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on control boards and the manufacturer replacement parts we install for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You need a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the heat is out of control, it could be due to a broken thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen are able to identify the cause of the issue and then fix it. But be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A common stove problem is when an igniter glows but it does not light. The reason this occurs is from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We determine whether we are able to fix these parts or if we need to replace the part.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Modern self-cleaning types of ovens are known to experience door problems often. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to find out why the door will not open and then complete the necessary repair so we can put an end to the issue.
